Explanation :

This calculator gives you a commercial rating of a wing on basis of the following criterias: brand, category, year, number of flight hours or wear rate and price new.
This gives you a first idea of the value of the wing but doesn't consider criterias such as popularity of the model , offer & demand...
The result of the calculation on basis of the number of hours in flight and the wear rate may be different: depending on material used, storage, care,. the wear is not the same at same hours of flight.
The sales price of a wing depends of its condition, of course. A visual check is always necessary in order to determinate the price of a wing.

• Year = year of manufacturing mentioned on the wing or on the invoice if the wing was purchased new. A wing more than 8 years old has no commercial value anymore.
• Category = DHV1, DHV 1-2, DHV 2, DHV 2-3, DHV 3 or +, Tandem
• Number of hours = if the wing has not been checked recently (less than 3 months), calculate the value on basis on the total hours (in flight + ground-handling + waiting at take-off + having a beer before packing it.). Be realistic for in any case the rating will adapted on basis of the control report
• Wear rate = most of the control workshops give a general rating : from 1 to 10 or on a lifetime line. We use a 0% to 100% rating: 0% is brand new, 50% is middle of its life,...
• Price New = type the price of the wing on pricelist, not the price you paid for.

If the result is 0 = the wing has no commercial value anymore. Call us anyway, may be we can still sell it.
